Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from Klarvyn at any time. This page explains exactly what happens when you do, what data we delete, and how long it takes.

Disconnect from inside Klarvyn

Fastest

If you have an active Klarvyn account, the fastest way to remove a specific integration's data is through your dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Klarvyn account at app.klarvyn.com
  2. Navigate to Integrations in the sidebar
  3. Find the integration you want to remove (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.)
  4. Click Disconnect and confirm

This immediately:

  • Revokes Klarvyn's access tokens for that platform
  • Stops all syncing and API calls related to that integration
  • Triggers deletion of all data fetched from that platform within 30 days

Meta (Facebook / Instagram) users

You can also revoke Klarvyn's access directly from Meta. Go to Facebook Settings → Business Integrations, find Klarvyn, and click Remove. We will receive a deletion signal from Meta and purge associated data automatically.

Email us a deletion request

If you want to delete your entire Klarvyn account or you no longer have dashboard access, email us directly:

Please include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your Klarvyn account
  • The name of your Klarvyn workspace (if you remember it)
  • Which data you want deleted — your full account, a specific integration, or specific records

We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, we remove the following from our systems:

Data category What it includes
Account data Your name, email, workspace, login credentials, preferences, and billing information
Integration tokens OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and any other connected platforms
Meta Platform Data Business Manager information, ad account metadata, campaign and ad performance metrics fetched from Meta's Marketing API
Visitor & conversion data First-party tracking data collected via your Klarvyn tracking pixel from your own website
Hashed identifiers SHA-256 hashed email addresses and phone numbers used for cross-platform attribution and CAPI matching
Logs & analytics Application logs, audit trails, and usage analytics tied to your account

What we may retain (and why)

By law, we may need to retain a limited subset of data for compliance reasons:

  • Billing records — retained for 7 years as required by accounting and tax law
  • Security incident logs — retained where necessary for fraud prevention or to comply with legal obligations
  • Backups — encrypted backups may retain data for up to 90 days before automatic expiration

This retained data is access-restricted, used only for the stated purposes, and irreversibly deleted once the retention period ends.

Deletion timeline

  • Immediately Access revoked. All API tokens deactivated. No further data is collected from any connected platforms.
  • Within 2 business days Confirmation sent. You receive an email confirming the deletion request is being processed.
  • Within 30 days Data deleted. All data described above is removed from active production systems and indexes.
  • Within 90 days Backups expired. Encrypted backups containing any residual data are automatically purged.

Your rights

Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing of your data
  • Object to certain types of processing
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
